I was lucky enough to win a bead goody bag before Christmas. The necklace with the black patterned beads is made with some of my winnings lol. The brown/green one was made with odd beads that were left over from another project.

Rush order

but I have been busy with cards, jewellery & decorating at home. Unfortunately it's not finished yet but may have to wait till school's back lol

Some crafty friends & myself had a meet up here in Guildford last weekend. We had a great day with shoebox cards, delicious lunch & lots of laughs. Some of us carried the day on by going out for dinner which was lovely & involved even more laughs. Thanks ladies!

My friend, Pam, has had a lovely stamp made for me & I adore it. Thank you Pam mwah mwah.

I have made some of the shoebox cards from our meet & still have some not quite finished. I have also made a card which I thought would be really difficult but once it was in my head it all worked out ok, I think.

Teddy Boy

I was unsure what I should make for my cousin's 70th birthday then I remembered the Flippin Teddy Boy from La Pashe.

I have used both sides of the teddy boy & attached him with a strip of acetate so he moves. I'm sure John will love it - at least I hope so!

so soon after the last - lol. A bit of beading & a couple of cards to show today. I found some 'different' beads while I was 'just looking' & thought they'd make lovely bracelets so here they are along with a spiky necklace.
A few Christmas cards too - my favourite is the little deer but I'm not too sure about the bubble tree although it does look better in real life.

Kaz showed us how to make a calendar & I just adapted it very slightly to make a hanger for my friend with pics of her grandchildren & some soppy words on the other side lol. Jan very kindly lent a lovely die which I could see would make a quick & easy Christmas card.

Once more I've made loads of cards but taken no photos. I was just about to put this one in the envelope when I remembered lol. It's based loosely on a card made by Pam at the Glitterpot. I didn't use all the peel offs mainly because I found some of them on the floor after I'd done hahaha. I guess the fan blew them there!

A Stampin Up stamp

I've had this stamp for ages but never inked it up. I have now & I love it. I decoupaged the flower after colouring with Promarkers & then threw some seed beads in the middle. Bit of ribbon & sparkly dots finished it off.

Pam then showed us how to make the most beautiful card & although we started it, neither of us finished it. I will finish it as soon as I have time & will post it here.

I had some treats

& have actually made some cards using them. I must apologise for my really bad photography. I think my next treat should be some lessons in using a camera. I just can't seem to get the light right at the moment.The first treat was my owl stamp set & I made this one up in shades of coffee, cream & caramel pearlised card. The second treat was a Nellie Snellen flower punch & emboss set. I really enjoyed making the flowers up but again you can't see the true colours.

A few cards that I have made by request. I enjoy doing these because you can pretty them up lol. The book card has a little red mark on it in the pic but I have removed it now lol. It was the backing of the very sticky tape that I used.
The butterfly one was made from a sheet produced by my dear friend Joanie. All others were purchased from craftsuprint.

is always last bless him ! I never get round to doing his cards till the last minute by which time I'm fed up & he gets something cobbled together lol. I've used stamps from the SU set 'Loads of Love'. I'm sure he'll like it simply because I made it for him. It does seem like I could have another couple of days but he'll be around all the time so it needed to be done & dusted today.

Valentine's Day is a'coming

I've made just a few Valentine cards this year mainly because I've just run out of time. we have lots of family & friend birthdays over the first 3 months of the year so I really need to crack on with those.
A couple of these are made using Robert Addams' Roses cd. The images are so lovely. One is a stamped image using the Papermania Roses collection & the other is made using Papermania Capsule Collection - Red Hot Paper.

to brighten a grey miserable day. I have to admit to recycling a Christmas card for this one. I just couldn't resist using it as a background for the card lol. Another stamped & coloured image here . Love the image not so keen on the painting! & I do love the overall effect.Pic is a bit glary but lots of mirri card has done that. The card candy & the oval are silver not gold as they appear in the pic.

I had a colouring day

with my friend Pam at the Craft Barn. In the morning we were taught some watercolour techniques & in the afternoon we used Coloursoft pencils. 2 of these images are my version of what we did at the afternoon class. One is a double slider card & the other just a classic DL shape. The 3rd card in this lot is made with Stampin Up products.
